Tribute to Our Moms.. Stampers 5 Projects

IT was that time again... Our Stamper's Five meetin'!! This workshop I wanted to create cards to honor our mothers.. My lastest issue of Stampin Sucess had GREAT ideas for me to use!! I took them and made them to suit the occasion..

This first card has a unique fold. I just liked that it was different! We used the "Great Friend" stamp set out of the current mini catalog, and the new scallop oval punch!

This card uses the big shot to cut the bigz top note, AND to texture it! It is hard to see in the pic, but we used the "wood grain" texture. I also LOVED how the ribbon was tied through. I used the horizontal slot punch, and run through from the back to the front of the card and tied it in a knot, trimming the ends. This card features the "Thoughts and Prayers" stamp set, that I am just in LOVE with too!!

Super Crop day!

I enjoyed a super Crop day this weekend, met lots of fun new people, and completed a 6X6 family album!! I started with our wedding photo, and did a two page layout for each year, using our annual family photo. I used parts of 2 stampin up scrapbook kits that had similar, coordinating colors, and a way I went!! I turned out so cute! Above are few of my favorite pages!

Fun, Cute Cards!!

I was in the mood for something.. well... Just CUTE!! I stamped a few cards this past week. Here is a Birthday card for a little girl I know.. I used the "Owl Together Now" stamp set, and watercolored the image. The strip across the bottom is background paper. Simple, and charming!

This card features a couple newer products! The brown strip down the card is actully textured background paper.. This stuff is great! I'm in LOVE anyway! Also look for the "just for you" stamp and the scallop oval punch in the new mini catalog! You can order them as of April 1st!!

The is last card is a simple Thank you! Using another stamp from the new mini catalog, and same great new scallop oval punch, I also used one of the bigger oval punches to mat it. Again I used the same textured backgound paper also. How did I get my butterfly blue??? A quick tip.. Ink the whole stamp with your brown ink. then. You can use a clean watercolor pen to "erase" the brown ink off the butterfly, then apply the blue with marker..This won't work very well with BIG areas, but with small ones, it does the trick. You may find you need to clean off the tip of your watercolor pen in the middle of the job. Just to be sure it picked up all of the brown. I used the same techinique in the card above. I guess I needed my finger for this pic too! LOL!! But the card is fully matted with choc. chip paper too! The ribbon shown is the Very Vanilla taffeta. If you haven't tried this you should.. Easy to work with and very pretty! Happy stampin all!!
