Christmas Card Ideas!!

Hi there! I've been stampin Holiday cards in search of "THE ONE" I will make mine this year!! In the mean time, I have come up with several really cute cards- I'm going to share a few here with you!! All 3 use background paper found in the Christmas Jingle simply scrappin Kit! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this kit, I have made lots with it!! I'll have to get my camera snapping and post more of my projects for you too!!

For this first card, I used glossy cardstock, embossed the dove in white on it, then used my ink pad and sponge to color the glossy paper around it.. Such an elegant look- that is picture shows no justice for! And if you haven't tried out the tafeta ribbon, you simple must! It is beautiful too!!
Card #2 uses a piece of the vanilla hardware, a large choc chip brad. I used some tuff scissors to cut off one of the ends of the hardware frame. I stamped the deer from the "winter post" stamp set in choc chip on the new wood paper. Then punched it out with the Designer Label punch. Fits perfect in the hardware! The greeting is from the "snow swirled" stamp set.
This last card uses the scalloped circle punch to create the tree. First punch out the circle, Then you snip apart your punch, cutting outside to the middle with scissors, first cut away 2 scallops, then 3, then 4, and there will be one with 5 left. Kinda like cutting pie :) The vanilla brad was dipped in choc chip craft ink to fill in the detail with color, and I wiped the outside off to reveal the original vanilla. The greeting is from the "teeny tiny wishes" stamp set. I find my self using all the time!! Great set, cause it has EVERYTHING in it!!

I hope to spark your holiday stampin! Check back again soon, for some more ideas!!!

Kids Birthday cards..

Here are a couple kid Birthday cards. The first, I made for a baby first Birthday card, nothing fancy, just cute!! Bashful Blue, Creamy Carmel, and very vanilla are the colors used. \
The second Card I used the SU sizzix bigshot to cut out the cupcake. "Everything Nice" stamp set comes with 4 GREAT sayings, and this Birthday one, is one of them! I used markers to color the stamp, so most of the words were Bashful blue, and the cake line was Soft Suede. YES, the In colors come in markers this year!! YAY!! I am so Happy SU came up with another brown for their in colors too!! So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Soft Suede are the colors used in this card!

More FALL Samples!!

Here is a little 4X4 card we made at my workshops this month also.. We used the bigshot and leaves die to cut the leaves out and used texture plates to make them more fun!!

I used the card idea, to make this 6X6 scrapbook page. This is Aria (my now 8yr old) when she was only 3 1/2! Boy time flies!! Used the same basic idea and passed it off to a scrap page. Think I will again pass it on to a 12X12 next!! I just love the textured leaves and these colors together!! I made a card using the Bright Blessings jumbo wheel! FUN!! I love all the cute messages on this wheel. Sorry for the plastic glare.. I have to remember to take pics BEFORE I stick them in the clear envelope!! This card uses the textured cardstock in Dusty Durango.. Now available in the 8 1/2X11 size as well as the 12X12!!
Fall has arrived in full swing this week.. We brought in our pumpkins last night, just to be safe!! And it was pretty frosty out there this morning! Happy Stampin All!!

It caught my eye the very first time I opened the new catalog.. I used Old Olive, Choc Chip, Confetti Cream, and Dusty Durango colors.

I used the same stamp set here, and copied this sample right out of my Stampin Success demo Magazine.. I just love these colors, bright and fall fun!!! Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, And Dusty Durango! The new polka dot ribbon is a favorite of mine too! It is just too cute! Comes in all the "In Colors" !!

Navy Birthday card

Here is a Birthday card I made for my sister in law.. I've been meaning to get this on here for a little while now.. Time just flies by!! Anyway.. I used night of Navy cardstock, ink, and ribbon, I love SU's line of colors, how everything matches so nice! The overlay is the new "seasonal pieces" printed window sheets. They come with all kinds of different prints, I liked how pretty this one was. The styled silver hardware looks pretty matched with square rhinestone brads too! The greeting stamp came from the "Sincere Salutations" set, and the flower that coodinates perfectly is from the "Eastern Blooms" set. I just stamped the ink off once before stamping the tag. Pretty simple and fast card to make :) I've been getting prepared for my upcoming workshops.. Want a sneak peek??? I may post what we are making on here in a couple days!! Check back! I love working with fall colors and themes!! FUN FUN!!

Scrapin' a Photo Frame!!

Well, to be honest.. The Fair got me motivated to FINALLY Get this photo frame done. It's finished.. Last minute, and entered in the fair today! So wish me luck :)

I used the Sunny Day scrapbook kit to decorate this wooden frame I picked up at the craft store! DId you know that the cardstock stickers are cut to be used on the "On board So Tweet" chipboard pack!?!? That made this super fast to put together the bird and a couple of the flowers, and hearts! I also used the sizzix bigshot "FLowers layers" & "Blossom Party" dies to cut out some flowers using the back ground paper.. A few rhinestone brads and some ribbon.. TaDA!!! Super cute!! The "explore" letters were out of a scrap kit from the last catalog..

A few new ideas...

A few new ideas : When I hold a workshop, I precut the materials and usually have left overs.. So I like to challenge myself and use other stamps to use the supplies up so they don't go to waste.. so this first card is just that.. It is made using the newest SU Modern Label punch. And I just sponged around the edges to make it stand out, and used stampin dimensionals to hold it out from the card. Trendy Trees stamp set is just darling.. :) Rich Razzleberry is still catching my eye!!

A friend of mine came over to stamp wedding cards, and we came up with these! Using the bigshot embossing folder, Elegant Bouquet- with vellum cardstock, colored with markers, and wha-La! Beautiful! You could use this design for just about any kind of card.. Birthday, simpathy, wedding, Thank you... You name it!

Same idea, just added vanilla hardware :) My thank you to a fabulous hostess :)

Happy Stampin, until next time!!!

From my Stampin Room....

I have been having fun playing with my new stamps, and In Color supplies! Here are a few new samples for you! I had a wonderful little workshop today too, as Always, enjoyed visiting with new people and teaching others about my favorite hobby!!!

My favorite of the new in colors is "Rich Razzleberry" It is just a cool shade of purple!! This first card I used a clear envelope and cut all the seams off, and then cut it in half.. I then used staz on white and black inks to stamp on it, creating my own clear overlay. Added a fab new background paper underneath, and was very pleased with the results! I am also LOVING the new polka dot ribbon! Just the right size, and so cute!!

This card uses an embossing folder, and vellum cardstock! Simple and elegant wedding card!! AND takes no time at all to create!!!

MORE Razzle Berry!!!! There are also LOTS of new background papers that match!! SO fun!!

** Note: Congrats to Kim for winning my open house door prize! She is now the owner of my new favorite purple, rich razzleberry, ink pad!!! Thanks to all the ladies that came to the open house, It was, as always, a pleasure to spend time together!!

Stamper's Five-last meeting projects

Gosh I have been slacking with getting my cards on here!!!!! Guess you can tell summer has arrive and with it, the busier kid filled days!!!

With the new catalog, just about here, I decided to use some of the new colors and stamps at our last workshop. A little sneak peek for my fabulous stampin group! ** New catalog is available July 1st!!**

Tho, I can't tell you much since the catalog isn't released yet, I am allowed to let you see what I have made! I used glossy paper to stamp the butterfly on, and used a marker to color the edges of an already inked stamp before I stamped it onto paper, to make it "pop" just a little more..

In this card We also used glossy cardstock, doing the polished stone technique.. Instead of rubbing the ink tho, I blotted it.. It made more of a Camo background.. Then used staz on ink to stamp the bird on. The "for a great dad" stamp is a discontined one from a while back, FYI if you are wondering where it is from :)

Only for my Mom :)

Here is the Mother's day Card I made for my Mom this year. It was featured in our stampin success magizine.. BUT I didn't have all the same exact stamps, and ended up making it a little different.. I used my cricut to cut out the leaves for me, and had fun with my blender pens and ink pads to add more shading etc to the flowers. I LOVE the pop up idea of it! Mom liked it too :)

Tribute to Our Moms.. Stampers 5 Projects

IT was that time again... Our Stamper's Five meetin'!! This workshop I wanted to create cards to honor our mothers.. My lastest issue of Stampin Sucess had GREAT ideas for me to use!! I took them and made them to suit the occasion..

This first card has a unique fold. I just liked that it was different! We used the "Great Friend" stamp set out of the current mini catalog, and the new scallop oval punch!

This card uses the big shot to cut the bigz top note, AND to texture it! It is hard to see in the pic, but we used the "wood grain" texture. I also LOVED how the ribbon was tied through. I used the horizontal slot punch, and run through from the back to the front of the card and tied it in a knot, trimming the ends. This card features the "Thoughts and Prayers" stamp set, that I am just in LOVE with too!!

Super Crop day!

I enjoyed a super Crop day this weekend, met lots of fun new people, and completed a 6X6 family album!! I started with our wedding photo, and did a two page layout for each year, using our annual family photo. I used parts of 2 stampin up scrapbook kits that had similar, coordinating colors, and a way I went!! I turned out so cute! Above are few of my favorite pages!

Fun, Cute Cards!!

I was in the mood for something.. well... Just CUTE!! I stamped a few cards this past week. Here is a Birthday card for a little girl I know.. I used the "Owl Together Now" stamp set, and watercolored the image. The strip across the bottom is background paper. Simple, and charming!

This card features a couple newer products! The brown strip down the card is actully textured background paper.. This stuff is great! I'm in LOVE anyway! Also look for the "just for you" stamp and the scallop oval punch in the new mini catalog! You can order them as of April 1st!!

The is last card is a simple Thank you! Using another stamp from the new mini catalog, and same great new scallop oval punch, I also used one of the bigger oval punches to mat it. Again I used the same textured backgound paper also. How did I get my butterfly blue??? A quick tip.. Ink the whole stamp with your brown ink. then. You can use a clean watercolor pen to "erase" the brown ink off the butterfly, then apply the blue with marker..This won't work very well with BIG areas, but with small ones, it does the trick. You may find you need to clean off the tip of your watercolor pen in the middle of the job. Just to be sure it picked up all of the brown. I used the same techinique in the card above. I guess I needed my finger for this pic too! LOL!! But the card is fully matted with choc. chip paper too! The ribbon shown is the Very Vanilla taffeta. If you haven't tried this you should.. Easy to work with and very pretty! Happy stampin all!!

My Stampin Space

I just recently cleaned and tried to organize all my stampin stuff.. I Think I have enough now :) LOL!! I still would like more shelves etc under my main counter top, but that will have to wait a while! I had to take pics, cause as anyone knows, a crafty room is NEVER clean!!

My hubby made me that nifty punch rack. I just LOVE IT!!

A couple more SAB ideas..

Here are some projects from my workshop this last weekend... First, this idea came from a SU publication, it was done similar in a 6X6 page layout. I adjusted it to a 12X12, and LOVE the result! This scrapbook page is easy and FAST.. It is 12X12 textured cardstock, the new SAB stamp set polkadot punches and coordinating 5 petal punch, and SAB saffron ribbon. The photo is framed in Choc. Chip, and I also cut a little stipe of choc chip, and celery cardstock too. The stamp set "Enjoy every moment" was used to stamp the sentiment in choc chip ink. Use the trio flower punch, add some brads, and fold up the edges and you have it made! In the day of digital photos, it is easy and fairly inexpensive to get your photos printed in bigger sizes. I used an 8X10 for this layout. I use Winkflash.com to order pics. They tend to have the best prices, and I love the paper they print on too. Try using 5X7's too.. Any change up in the sizes just adds more eye catching layouts!

This card is made using the Bigshot. I used the Top note die, and 2 different texture plates. Also notice I sponged around the flower edges.. This makes them stand out more.. I also bent the top layer of the flower out a little so it added more dimension. In the center is SU's new bigger brads, in the 5/16" size. It is neat how a few little steps can make a card "Pop"!

Scrapbook Pages~Kids

I am IN LOVE with several of the new scrapbook kits SU has in the current catalog.. The first two page layouts are done with the Sunshine Garden Kit. I LOVE that it is a BLUE & Flowers!

This Page is done with the Sweet Nothings scrapbook kit. I LOVE the very girly, yet bright fun colors of this kit.

In the first two pages, I used ONLY what came in the kit. The last one I used one piece of ribbon, the new scalloped edge punch, and I printed out the journaling on the computer. These layouts didn't take long at all, and turned out so cute! Of course, there are several stamp sets that coordinate with them however, so the possibilities are endless with the kits! They also make SUPER cute cards too!!
